The conceptualization of God as a metaphysical problem
Abstract
Since the origins of thought, the philosopher gives a name to the divine, objectifying God in a concept. According to the onto-theo-logical constitution of metaphysics, God is a being among other beings, although the greater Being, which creates, directs and maintains them in existence. This paper aims to show how Saint Anselm, faced with this idolatrous conception of God, established by the onto-theo-logical constitution of metaphysics, proposes a more original thought of the divine, a thought that does not make the divine visible, nor is it paralyzed in an idolatrous concept.
