The Virgin Mary: disciple and missionary according to the Aparecida document
Abstract
In the Catholic Church, we fervently worship Mary of Nazareth in various advocations, since in addition to being the mother of Jesus, she is a model of discipleship and mission for all the faithful. The problem is to identify a true follower of Christ who contributes to the construction of the Kingdom of God. Therefore, the Aparecida document includes a clear and well-founded proposal for all those who wish to follow the path of Christ towards a better society, exposing the mother of Jesus among their sections. Really, Mary is the model of mother, missionary, disciple, pedagogue who challenges every Christian to reach his example. In the Holy Scriptures, the being and work of a woman are exalted by saying «yes» to God to faithfully fulfill her mission as a co-redeemer of salvation. It is the perfect Christian).
