Mystery’s Pain in Miguel de Unamuno
Abstract
Based on a series of selected essays by Miguel de Unamuno, we will delve into one of the poet-philosopher's least studied processes: the pain of mystery as an intimate manifestation of the revelation of God, of the path of faith. We will show that it is a key piece in Unamuno's theory of personal salvation, concluding that the category of painful mystery completes his ontological notion of Being and immortality
