Some remarks about formal and regional ontology in Husserl
Abstract
Edmund Husserl's contributions to the study of the nature and constitution of ontology have been decisive for the development of both philosophical and non-philosophical ontology in recent decades, although they have not always been properly recognized or valued. In this sense, this article aims to shed light on the understanding of the Husserlian notions of formal and regional ontology in correspondence with three previous notions (abstraction, transcendental knowledge, ideal entities) that support them. This will allow us to situate ourselves in the contemporary debate on the nature and constitution of ontology and visualize the points of connection and conflict with other philosophical traditions or areas of knowledge external to philosophy.
