Abstract

The present volume is the second issue of the special collection "Phaenomenologica Hispanica". This issue includes, in addition to the lectures, some writings by prominent researchers in the field, who have generously contributed to enrich our collection of essays by presenting to the Spanish-speaking public their main theses on the religious phenomenon and religious experience in the context of today's society. Throughout this volume, the reader will find a rigorous and well-articulated exposition of diverse Phenomenological research on religious experience, thus offering an updated and relevant vision on this topic.

Author Biographies

J.H. Marcelo, University of Salamanca

J.H. MARCELO studied Philosophy at the Pontifical University of Salamanca (BA and MA). He holds a PhD in Philosophy from the University of Salamanca (Spain) and the University of Turin (Italy). He has been a visiting researcher at the University of Paris 1, at the Catholic University of Louvain, at the University of Coimbra, at the Husserl Archives of the University of Fribourg, at the Husserl Archives of the University of Cologne, at the University of Bonn and at the University of Montreal. He is currently assistant professor at the University of Salamanca and researcher at the Labont -Center for Ontology- of the University of Turin.

Francisco Javier Herrero Hernández, Pontifical University of Salamanca

Francisco-Javier Herrero Hernández is Professor of Philosophical Anthropology, Theodicy and Philosophy of Religion in the Faculty of Philosophy at the Pontifical University of Salamanca (Spain). He is also Associate Professor in the Department of History of Law and Legal, Moral and Political Philosophy at the State University of Salamanca. He has published the book De Husserl a Levinas. Un camino en fenomenología (2005) and has also translated Jean Héring's book, Fenomenología y filosofía religiosa. A Study on the Theory of Religious Consciousness (2019). He has been editor of the Special Issue of "Aporía: Revista Internacional de Investigaciones Filosóficas" (Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile) on Phenomenology and Theology (2019) and of the works: Las Horas de la Filosofía (2013), Dios, la Verdad y la Fe (2014), Antropología, Mística y Arte (2015) and Virtudes, Valores y Compromiso Social (2017). He is also the author of numerous articles and book chapters.
