El paradigma de los griegos: una interpretación foucaultiana del cuidado

Resumen

Tras el curso Hermenéutica del Sujeto, impartido por Foucault en el Collège de France en 1982, el objetivo de este trabajo es clarificar la comprensión del cuidado de sí en la Antigüedad tardía. Para ello, el trabajo se divide en dos secciones: en la primera, exploro los elementos propuestos por la Apología de Sócrates y la interpretación de Foucault, a saber, la relación entre la verdad, el cuidado de sí, el cuidado de los demás, las técnicas del yo, la moral y la política. En la segunda, busco una caracterización más profunda del cuidado como condición ontológica primaria que da paso a una actividad filosófica que, en muchos sentidos, choca con las formas en que concebimos la filosofía como disciplina hoy en día. Concluyo mostrando por qué el retorno de Foucault a los antiguos sigue siendo relevante hoy en día, ya que a través de su perspectiva se llega a una mejor perspectiva para imaginar y delinear nuevas
