Naturaleza y valor de la Literatura

Resumen

Este ensayo reúne el análisis de distintas cuestiones relaciones con la definición, la interpretación y el valor de la obra literaria, y propone entender la literatura en el marco de la institución que regula el tipo de actitud, atención y valoración que le son apropiadas. En el curso de ese análisis se alza como protagonista un valor literario, estético, amplio que da cabida a la dimensión moral y cognitiva de la literatura, aunque no descarta posibles beneficios instrumentales en esta línea. Por otra parte, la naturaleza de la propia interpretación de las obras y sus consecuencias para la crítica literaria serán asimismo atendidas, intentando por último dar cuenta de la articulación entre interpretación y apreciación artística.

Matilde Carrasco Barranco, Universidad de Murcia, España

Matilde Carrasco Barranco es Profesora Titular de Estética y Teoría de las Artes de la Universidad de Murcia. Doctora [≈ PhD] por la Universidad de Granada, España. Desde 2012 ha sido miembro del comité ejecutivo de la Sociedad Europea de Estética y organizadora de sus congresos anuales. Es autora de Consecuencias, Agencia y Moralidad (Granada: Comares, 2000) y entre sus publicaciones más recientes destacan entre otras «¿Es posible el regreso de la belleza? Estética, Belleza y Política en el Arte Contemporáneo», Ágora. Papeles de Filosofía, 36, no. 2 (2017): pp. 151-17; «Valores artísticos y experiencia estética», El valor del arte (Madrid: Antonio Machado, 2017), pp. 49-76; «Au-delà du conceptualisme: l’esthétique et l’art d’aujourd’hui», Nouvelle revue d’esthétique 1 (2015):  pp. 149-161. Los principales intereses de su investigación son la relación entre el valor estético y otros valores del arte, la crítica de arte, y las relaciones del arte con la sociedad y la política.
